If the final thought matters, what should one do? Krishna's answer is beautifully practical — and it does not ask us to withdraw from life.

तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु मामनुस्मर युध्य च | मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्मामेवैष्यस्यसंशयः (orसंशयम्) ||८-७||

“Krishna gives Arjuna the practical instruction: "So remember Me at all times — and fight. If your mind and understanding are fixed on Me, you will come to Me without any doubt."”

'Therefore, remember me at all times — and fight. With mind and intellect fixed on me, you will come to me; have no doubt.' Notice the two halves: remember, AND fight. Krishna does not say abandon your work and only meditate. He says weave remembrance into the very midst of your duty.

अनन्यचेताः सततं यो मां स्मरति नित्यशः | तस्याहं सुलभः पार्थ नित्ययुक्तस्य योगिनः ||८-१४||

“Krishna makes a personal promise: "For the yogi who thinks of Me every day, constantly, with a one-pointed mind that never strays elsewhere — for that person, Arjuna, I am easy to reach."”

'For one who remembers me constantly, with an undistracted mind, I am easy to reach.' The path is not reserved for those who can escape to a cave. It is open to anyone who keeps a quiet thread of remembrance running beneath an active life — the parent, the soldier, the worker. Steadiness, not seclusion, is what counts.
