Dhritarashtra said What did my people and the sons of Pandu do when they had assembled together eager for battle on the holy plain of Kurukshetra, O Sanjaya.
In simple words
The blind king Dhritarashtra is sitting in his palace far from the battlefield. He asks his advisor Sanjaya, who has the divine ability to see events from a distance: "My sons and the sons of Pandu have gathered on the sacred field of Kurukshetra to fight. Tell me, Sanjaya — what is happening there?"
