10.1 भूयः again? एव verily? महाबाहो O mightyarmed? श्रृणु hear? मे My? परमम् supreme? वचः word? यत् which? ते to thee? अहम् I? प्रीयमाणाय who art beloved? वक्ष्यामि (I) will declare? हितकाम्यया wishing (thy) welfare.Commentary I shall repeat what I said before (in the seventh and the ninth discourses). My essential nature and My manifestations have already been pointed out. As it is very difficult to understand the divine nature? I shall describe it once more to you? although it has been described already. I shall tell you of the divine glories and point out in which forms of being I should be thought of.I will speak to you as you are delighted to hear Me. Now your heart is taking delight in Me.The Lord wants to encourage Arjuna and cheer him up and so He Himself comes forward to give instructions to Arjuna even without his reest.Paramam Vachah supreme word. Arjuna, who appeared trembling in the uncertainty of the first chapter, has now attained an incomparable inner equilibrium. Through the wise study of Hindu philosophy, the inner peace that is gained—the Lord makes this clear at the very beginning of this chapter by addressing his disciple Arjuna as "one who is pleased." Priyaman means one who is content and joyful. Here, Arjuna's joy springs from his attentive listening to the Lord's teachings. When disciples listen with enthusiasm and genuine interest, the teacher's own enthusiasm is doubled. Upon deeper understanding of the profound truths of Vedantic philosophy, one cannot but experience inner peace and contentment. Sri Krishna, the Teacher of the Gita, now speaks forth with renewed enthusiasm, expounding this knowledge in detail. "Hear again my supreme words, which I shall speak to you out of desire for your spiritual welfare." Here Arjuna is addressed as Mahabaho—the mighty-armed one. This address reminds Arjuna that even in his inner life, like a hero facing circumstances, he must build a kingdom of divine bliss, which is his true inheritance. It is clear that the Lord's discourse is not upon worldly matters, but upon the spiritual possibilities inherent within humanity and the means to awaken them. For it is said here: "Hear my supreme words, which I shall speak to you out of desire for your spiritual welfare." What then is the purpose of beginning this discourse anew? The Lord now reveals this—
