कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते
You have the right to act...
your own path, imperfectly walked
A guided meditation on this verse: settle, breathe with its meaning, rest in silence, and carry its essence into your day.
श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात् |
स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः ||३-३५||
śreyānsvadharmo viguṇaḥ paradharmātsvanuṣṭhitāt .
svadharme nidhanaṃ śreyaḥ paradharmo bhayāvahaḥ ||3-35||
Krishna tells Arjuna a truth that applies to every person: "It is better to do your own work imperfectly than to do someone else's work perfectly. It is better to fail at your own path than to succeed at someone else's — because following another's path is dangerous."

Settle
Better to walk your own path stumbling than another's smoothly. Feel for the path that is truly yours.
The essence
Your own path, walked imperfectly, is yours.
Breathe
You turn toward your own way You release the path others expect
Contemplate
Whose life have you been living that was never yours to live?
Take with you
Write of one thing that is authentically your own path.
