कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते
You have the right to act...
A guided meditation on this verse: settle, breathe with its meaning, rest in silence, and carry its essence into your day.
ये हि संस्पर्शजा भोगा दुःखयोनय एव ते |
आद्यन्तवन्तः कौन्तेय न तेषु रमते बुधः ||५-२२||
ye hi saṃsparśajā bhogā duḥkhayonaya eva te .
ādyantavantaḥ kaunteya na teṣu ramate budhaḥ ||5-22||
Krishna points out a truth most people miss: "Pleasures that come from contact with the outside world — a good meal, a compliment, a thrill — they all have a beginning and an end. They create pain, Arjuna. A wise person does not chase them."

Settle
Every pleasure born of the world has an end folded inside it. Hold one lightly, knowing this.
The essence
Pleasures with an end carry pain.
Breathe
You enjoy what is here You release your grip on it
Contemplate
Which pleasure have you turned into suffering by clinging?
Take with you
Write of something you could enjoy without gripping.
