यामिमां पुष्पितां वाचं प्रवदन्त्यविपश्चितः | वेदवादरताः पार्थ नान्यदस्तीति वादिनः ||२-४२||
“Krishna warns: "Some people get excited by flowery religious talk — 'do this ritual and you'll get that reward.' They think that's all there is to spirituality. It's not."”
Today's verse is BG 2.42:
“Krishna warns: "Some people get excited by flowery religious talk — 'do this ritual and you'll get that reward.' They think that's all there is to spirituality. It's not."”
Let this verse settle in you slowly. The Gita asks not so much to be read as to be lived — its words meet you in the ordinary texture of your day, in the choices, the duties, and the uncertainties you are carrying right now.
Sit with it for a moment before moving on. Notice the line that stays with you, and the one that unsettles you. Both have something to teach.
“What part of this verse do you find most difficult to practice?”
