दिवि सूर्यसहस्रस्य भवेद्युगपदुत्थिता |
यदि भाः सदृशी सा स्याद्भासस्तस्य महात्मनः ||११-१२||
divi sūryasahasrasya bhavedyugapadutthitā . yadi bhāḥ sadṛśī sā syādbhāsastasya mahātmanaḥ ||11-12||
।।11.12।। आकाश में सहस्र सूर्यों के एक साथ उदय होने से उत्पन्न जो प्रकाश होगा, वह उस (विश्वरूप) परमात्मा के प्रकाश के सदृश होगा।।
11.12 दिवि in the sky? सूर्यसहस्रस्य of a thousand suns? भवेत् were? युगपत् at once (simultaneously)? उत्थिता arisen? यदि if? भाः splendour? सदृशी like? सा that? स्यात् would be? भासः splendour? तस्य of that? महात्मनः of the mighty Being (great soul).Commentary Divi here means in the Antariksha or the sky.Mahatma here refers to the great Soul or the mighty Being? the Cosmic Form.
Non-dualism. The individual self and Brahman are one. The world is appearance (maya). Liberation through knowledge.
।।11.12।।भगवान्के विराट्रूपकी जो प्रभा -- प्रकाश है? उसकी उपमा कहते हैं --, द्युलोकमें अर्थात् आकाशमें या तीसरे स्वर्गलोकमें एक साथ उदय हुए हजारों सूर्योंका जो एक साथ उत्पन्न हुआ प्रकाश हो? वह प्रकाश उस महात्मन् -- विश्वरूपके प्रकाशके सदृश कदाचित् हो तो हो? अथवा सम्भव है कि न भी हो अर्थात् उससे भी विश्वरूपका प्रकाश ही अधिक हो सकता है।
11.12 Should the effulgence of a thousand suns blaze forth simultaneously in the sky, that might be similar to the radiance of that exalted One.
