सन्तुष्टः सततं योगी यतात्मा दृढनिश्चयः |
मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्यो मद्भक्तः स मे प्रियः ||१२-१४||
santuṣṭaḥ satataṃ yogī yatātmā dṛḍhaniścayaḥ . mayyarpitamanobuddhiryo madbhaktaḥ sa me priyaḥ ||12-14||
।।12.14।। जो संयतात्मा, दृढ़निश्चयी योगी सदा सन्तुष्ट है, जो अपने मन और बुद्धि को मुझमें अर्पण किये हुए है, जो ऐसा मेरा भक्त है, वह मुझे प्रिय है।।
12.14 सन्तुष्टः contented? सततम् ever? योगी Yogi? यतात्मा selfcontrolled? दृढनिश्चयः possessed of firm,conviction? मयि अर्पितमनोबुद्धिः with mind and intellect dedicated to Me? यः who? मद्भक्तः My devotee? सः he? मे to Me? प्रियः dear.Commentary He knows that all that comes to him is the fruit of his own actions in the past and so he is ever contented. He does not endeavour to attain the finite or perishable objects. He fixes his mind and intellect on the Supreme Being or the Absolute? attains e

।।12.14।।तथा जो सदा ही सन्तुष्ट है अर्थात् देह स्थितिके कारणरूप पदार्थोंकी लाभ हानिमें जिसके जो कुछ होता है वही ठीक है ऐसा अलम् भाव हो गया है? इस प्रकार जो गुणयुक्त वस्तुके लाभमें और उसकी हानिमें सदा ही सन्तुष्ट रहता है। तथा जो समाहितचित्त? जीते हुए स्वभाववाला और दृढ़ निश्चयवाला है अर्थात् आत्मतत्त्वके विषयमें जिसका निश्चय स्थिर हो चुका है। तथा जो मुझमें अर्पण किये हुए मनबुद्धिवाला है अर्थात् जिस संन्यासीका संकल्प विकल्पात्मक मन और निश्चयात्मिका बुद्धि ये दोनों मुझमें समर्पित हैं -- स्थापित हैं। जो ऐसा मेरा भक्त है वह मेरा प्यारा है। ज्ञानीको मैं अत्यन्त प्यारा हूँ और वह मुझे प्रिय है इस प्रकार जो सप्तम अध्यायमें सूचित किया गया था उसीका यहाँ विस्तारपूर्वक वर्णन किया जाता है।
