यः सर्वत्रानभिस्नेहस्तत्तत्प्राप्य शुभाशुभम् |
नाभिनन्दति न द्वेष्टि तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता ||२-५७||
yaḥ sarvatrānabhisnehastattatprāpya śubhāśubham . nābhinandati na dveṣṭi tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā ||2-57||
।।2.57।। जो सर्वत्र अति स्नेह से रहित हुआ उन शुभ तथा अशुभ वस्तुओं को प्राप्त कर न प्रसन्न होता है और न द्वेष करता है? उसकी प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठित (स्थिर) है।।
2.57 यः he who? सर्वत्र everywhere? अनभिस्नेहः without attachment? तत् that? तत् that? प्राप्य having obtained? शुभाशुभम् good and evil? न not? अभिनन्दति rejoices? न not? द्वेष्टि hates? तस्य of him? प्रज्ञा wisdom? प्रतिष्ठिता is fixed.Commentary The sage possesses poised understanding or evenness of mind. ।।2.57।।तथा जो मुनि सर्वत्र अर्थात् शरीर जीवन आदितकमें भी स्नेहसे रहित हो चुका है तथा उनउन शुभ या अशुभको पाकर न प्रसन्न होता है और न द्वेष ही करता है अर्थात् शुभको पाकर प्रसन्न नहीं होता और अशुभको पाकर उसमें द्वेष नहीं करता। जो इस प्रकार हर्ष विषादसे रहित हो चुका है उसकी विवेकजनित बुद्धि प्रतिष्ठित होती है।
