yātayāmaṃ gatarasaṃ pūti paryuṣitaṃ ca yat . ucchiṣṭamapi cāmedhyaṃ bhojanaṃ tāmasapriyam ||17-10||
That which is stale, tasteless, putrid, rotten, refuse and impure, is the food liked by the Tamasic.
