The Blessed Lord remained silent even after this. Arjun's condition had become such that he could neither remain quiet nor could new arguments occur to him. Yet the silence of the Blessed Lord had its own unique power. In this verse, Arjun merely recites traditional teachings. For Hindus, dharma itself is culture. Therefore, sufficient light has already been shed upon the importance of family dharma. For this reason, Arjun once again draws attention here to the dire consequences of the destruction of family dharma.
