उत्क्रामन्तं स्थितं वापि भुञ्जानं वा गुणान्वितम् |
विमूढा नानुपश्यन्ति पश्यन्ति ज्ञानचक्षुषः ||१५-१०||

utkrāmantaṃ sthitaṃ vāpi bhuñjānaṃ vā guṇānvitam . vimūḍhā nānupaśyanti paśyanti jñānacakṣuṣaḥ ||15-10||


।।15.10।। शरीर को त्यागते हुये, उसमें स्थित हुये अथवा (विषयों को) भोगते हुये, गुणों से समन्वित आत्मा को विमूढ़ लोग नहीं देखते हैं; (परन्तु) ज्ञानचक्षु वाले पुरुष उसे देखते हैं।।

Sri Shankaracharya

।।15.10।।इस प्रकार इस देहधारी ( जीवात्मा ) को शरीरसे --, उत्क्रमण करते हुएको अर्थात् पहले प्राप्त किये शरीरको छोड़कर जाते हुएको? अथवा शरीरमें स्थित रहते हुएको? या शब्दादि विषयोंका भोग करते हुएको? या सुखदुःखमोह आदि गुणोंसे युक्त हुएको भी? यानी इस प्रकार अत्यन्त दर्शनगोचर होते हुए भी इस आत्माको मूढ़ लोग? जो कि दृष्ट और अदृष्ट विषयभोगोंकी लालसाके बलसे चित्त आकृष्ट हो जानेके कारण अनेक प्रकारसे मोहित हो रहे हैं? नहीं देखते? अहो यह बड़े दुःखकी बात है? इस प्रकार भगवान् करुणा प्रकट करते हैं। परंतु जो प्रमाणजनित ज्ञाननेत्रोंसे युक्त हैं अर्थात् विवेकदृष्टिवाले हैं? वे इसे देखते हैं।
