The Lord Sri Krishna revealed His cosmic form to Arjuna, which Sanjaya now recalls. For a person of refined sensibility, is this cosmic vision as compelling as the knowledge of the Gita is unforgettable to a wise person? The vision of the cosmic being described in the Vedas is indeed awe-inspiring, and in the Gita it is undoubtedly most powerful. Yet it need not be merely the poetic imagination of the great sage Vyasa alone—there are many others whose experiences are similarly profound. If the essential wisdom of the Gita illuminates the glorious purpose of human life and inspires and delights the intellectual faculty of humanity, then in every name and form, in every experience and circumstance, the vision of the gentle, smiling Lord Sri Krishna, the dancer of Vrindavan, fills the hearts of devotees intoxicated with divine love with life-giving joy and ecstasy. It is my conviction that had Sanjaya been given freedom, he would have composed an entire Sanjaya Gita based upon the Bhagavad Gita. When the intellect is gladdened by the silence of knowledge, and the heart is transported in the embrace of love, then the human being is flooded with the feeling of fulfilled accomplishment. Language is a feeble medium for describing the satisfaction of such fulfillment; therefore, without further elaborating upon the most powerful sentiment of his heart, Sanjaya declares his steadfast conviction in this final verse of the Gita—in essence, his ultimate affirmation.
