karmaṇaiva hi saṃsiddhimāsthitā janakādayaḥ . lokasaṃgrahamevāpi sampaśyankartumarhasi ||3-20||
Janaka and others attained perfection verily by action only; even with a view to the welfare of the world thou shouldst perform action.

Krishna gives Arjuna a role model: "King Janaka and other great leaders reached perfection through action, not by sitting still. You too should act — if only to set an example for the people who look up to you."
